Setting the standard
Your hosts Mary and Rob have many years experience working in the hotel trade and with members of the public in other career paths, they also have many years experience staying in B&Bs' some good some not so.
Rob and Mary, in their nearly thirty years together, have always wanted to own and run their own B&B, and after selling up in the UK and buying Marnic House just outside the beautiful Mayo town of Ballyhaunis in 2016 they have gotten their wish.
Their aim is to give YOU what THEY expect from a B&B. We have all seen the TV programs where the contestants go round looking for dust and cobwebs and other unmentionables, well they do this on a daily basis in all areas of Marnic House. Have you stayed in a B&B where you had to go and ask the proprietor for a cup of tea or coffee because there were no facilities in the room or stayed in a room where there was no TV and even worse not even an electric socket, or where the beds hadn't even been changed from previous guests, well they have and these are a few things not to expect at Marnic House.
Our rooms are all en-suite, all newly decorated and furnished, all new beds and bedding, new Flat screen televisions on the wall and as much tea and coffee as you can drink. If you want to come and go as you please as you would in a hotel then please do, we won't lock you out at 10pm. If you don't want to interact with Rob and Mary then please don't think you have to, a simple hi or bye on passing is fine, however if you want to sit and chat over a coffee or something a wee bit stronger then our sitting room door is always open. I hope by now you are getting the picture, Marnic House, Rob and Mary want to give you everything you want from a B&B.
